The VISCODERM^®Hydrobooster offers a dual action to effectively tackle stubborn lines on the forehead, around the eyes (crow’s feet), and the upper lip (perioral region), as well as areas of facial skin requiring deep hydration. The unique Hydro Stretch capability of the product means it can effectively chase away early-onset lines, as well as more established lines and provide intense, sustained deep hydration to the skin.

The Viscoderm^® Hydrobooster utilizes the patented core IBSA ultrapure hyaluronic acid in conjunction with the unique hydrostretching technology meaning existing lines can be softened with a more effective approach, whilst preserving natural facial expressions and noticeable improving the quality and radiance to the skin. This treatment can be performed as a course of 1-2, but individual skin conditions can vary and a full assessment of the areas of concern is advised to make appropriate recommendation on the number of treatment sessions required for best results.

The VISCODERM^® Hydrogel patch is specially formulated to create a soothing, hydrating and refreshing experience following treatment with the VISCODERM^® Hydrobooster, and can be used on the neck, face and décolletage. The hydrogel patch contains hyaluronic acid, bisabolol and aloe vera for their calming and soothing properties. This is an optional post-treatment mask which helps to provide additional antiageing and hydrating benefits to the skin

The VISCODERM^® Hydrobooster can be accompanied by VISCODERM^® Cream for daily use to supplement the synergistic effects of the Hydrobooster treatment. This highly effective topical formulation contains anti-oxidants, hyaluronic acid, collagen and chondroitin sulphate, which is an important structural component of cartilage maintaining the extracellular matrix of the tissue.

How uncomfortable is VISCODERM® Hydrobooster and will I be offered any type of anaesthetic?

There is mild discomfort expected during the treatment, which subsides quickly following the procedure. An effective topical anaesthetic cream is applied prior to the treatment, which is very effective. This is removed and the skin is disinfected thoroughly prior to treatment. Immediately following the procedure, there will be some redness and occasional bruising around the lines, or areas treated. Redness usually settles after 24-48 hours, and bruising may last from 3-5 days. A very fine needle is used throughout treatment to minimise discomfort.

How many treatments will I need?

All patients who visit Anna Baker Aesthetic Clinic will undertake a detailed medical consultation and assessment of their areas of concern. This allows us to approximate the number of treatments based upon the expected level of improvement from treatment, as well as the baseline condition of the area(s) to be treated. Patients can expect to need between 1- treatments, which will depend upon individual age, the number of facial areas being treated, as well as the baseline condition of the skin.

Are there specific post-treatment instructions that I need to follow?

Yes-These are explained to you in detail during your initial consultation, as well as on the day of treatment. We advise patients to withhold from consuming alcohol for 24 hours prior to, and following treatment, as well as abstaining from vigorous physical exercise and using a sauna. This is to reduce the risk of bruising as far as possible. Patients should withhold from touching/massaging the treated skin to reduce the risk of cross-infection.

Can I have this treatment on the same day as other aesthetic procedures?

At Anna Baker Aesthetic Clinic, our key priority is the safety of our patients, and we generally advise for different aesthetic treatments to be spaced apart. Whilst VISCODERM® Hydrobooster is a safe and established treatment to improve superficial (dynamic) as well as deeper lines on the skin, we do not advise patients undergo this treatment in the same area as another procedure on the same day (for example, another injectable treatment like dermal fillers). It can, however, be effectively combined with Dermalux Tri-Wave MD on the same day to enhance overall results as this is a non-invasive treatment, which is clinically proven to calm skin post-procedurally.

Can I maintain the results from VISCODERM® Hydrobooster long-term after my initial course?

Yes-absolutely! In terms of the ideal maintenance frequency of treatments required, this is discussed at your consultation.
